Cookie Notice
Last updated: July 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help the site remember your actions and preferences over a period of time.
2. Cookies we use
We keep cookie use to a minimum. Essential cookies make the Colen service work. Public websites generated with Colen use cookie-less analytics:
- Session cookie (e.g.
__Host-colen.sid) — keeps you signed in to your dashboard and authenticates your requests. Stays valid for up to 30 days of inactivity, with a 90-day hard cap regardless of activity. - Google sign-in cookies — set by Google during OAuth login, governed by Google's own cookie policy.
- Language cookie (
lang) — remembers your preferred language (English, French, or Arabic) so pages load in it on your next visit. Lasts up to one year.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use cookies to track you across other websites.
3. Cookie-less website analytics
Generated websites use Colen's own aggregate analytics without analytics cookies or browser local or session storage. We record pageviews, an estimated anonymous visitor count, the site's internal business identifier, traffic source, and use of call, directions, order, and reservation controls. We use technical request data, including the network address, to estimate country and region/state. The business owner does not receive the raw network address or an individual visitor profile.
4. Managing Cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Disabling the essential cookies above will prevent you from logging into your Colen dashboard, since the service cannot function without them.
5. Changes to This Notice
We may update this notice if the cookies we use change. Check the "Last updated" date above for the latest version.
